Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval has announced his support for Nevada Senate Republican Leader and Republican nominee for Lieutenant Governor, Michael Roberson. Governor Sandoval lauded Senator Roberson’s contributions to improving Nevada’s educational system while encouraging all Nevadans to join him in supporting Roberson to be the state’s next Lieutenant Governor.
“Michael Roberson was an effective legislator during my service as Governor,” Governor Sandoval stated. “He helped me deliver record funding for our schools that have helped improve scores, boost teacher pay, decrease classroom sizes, and lift up those students who need help the most. I know that as your Lieutenant Governor, Michael will never stop advocating for Nevada. I’d ask all Nevadans to join with me and vote for Michael Roberson for Lieutenant Governor.”
“I am grateful to receive the support of my friend, Brian Sandoval, in my campaign for Lieutenant Governor,” stated Senator Michael Roberson. “Further, I am proud of my record, especially when it comes to delivering meaningful reforms for Nevada’s parents, students and teachers. Voters should know that I will continue to work to make sure Nevada’s school children get the world-class education they deserve.”
The Las Vegas Review-Journal has also endorsed Michael Roberson, noting “Mr. Roberson, who has served eight years in the state Senate, was the driving force behind many of the collective bargaining and education reforms passed during the 2015 session. He has the experience and political savvy to make this office relevant. Voters should elect Michael Roberson.”
